Mistakes are bound to happen. What you do with them makes all the difference. I have finally reached that age that if I make a mistake, I admit it, own it, and learn from it. I read somewhere if you do it the first time it’s a mistake, if you repeat it, it’s a habit.
For the past week, our wifi at work has been less than user-friendly. That’s not a problem until you are the one responsible for fixing the issues. Me personally, I’d like to just do away with the Wifi and stay with the trusted and true Cat5 wired network. No muss, no fuss, most of the time.
But we are a society of internet junkies. In one form or another, the internet is a part of our life. I can pay bills, shop, have a doctor’s visit, and even talk to people all around the world. But when that information highway stops are slows down to a crawl, everyone wants it fixed yesterday.
If all goes as planned, 2 years, 3 months, and 19 days, this will become someone else’s nightmare. I love my job but somedays technology leads me down a slippery slope and kicks my butt. “Welcome to Walmart!”
