More Kennedys in These titles mean nothing.

I apologize for posting these - they are nice to see. I’m sorry if non-US readers can’t see them, though someone said they were able to find a link to youtube to watch.

I also realize it’s hard to watch what someone else has chosen and there are times when it’s hard to just take the time to do it.

So no obligation.

The second one of the President has an interesting lesson in Vice-presidenting by LBJ in the lower right corner of the frame.

And then in the first one of Jackie visiting Johnson’s campaign office in 1964 - when it could/should have been her husband running for re-election.

Those were incredible years - perhaps when America was great?

Don’t apologise - through you I have watched some very interesting stuff I wouldn’t have otherwise so thank you! President Kennedy was a fantastic speaker - he sure knew how to work a crowd - and it was clearly stifling hot that day yet he never broke a sweat or if he did he just ignored it. It was interesting watching LBJ - he was certainly very vigilant throughout. Changed days for a First Lady having to push through such crowds to get to her car - I’m surprised she and the children were so exposed after what happened to JFK just the year before.

LBJ was a distant cousin to my maternal Grandfather. Lyndon was pretty wild as a teenager . :-( or so the family story goes . :-(

Please don't apologise. JFK was a hero of mine. I was 16 when he died and I asked my mum for a book of his speeches for my Christmas present. The family fascinate me, I'm currently reading Ted Kennedy's autobiography.

How is Ted's book? I have a copy away son gave me a few years ago - I really need to give it a chance.

It's very interesting. It puts an entirely different slant on events we are familiar with.

I couldn't see them using your link either and had to go to youtube. So it's happening in the US too. But whatever. They are fascinating to watch.

No apologies necessary!
I actually think the last president (in my lifetime) who was worth his salt was Kennedy.
And occasionally Obama.
And once in a while, Carter.

I am glad you are enjoying these videos and they are available to you. It is one thing to read history, another to see it unfolding.

My mother was a big fan of the Kennedys so I saw their photos in Life magazine.

Kennedy was a great orator.

It's interesting to close my eyes and listen, and then open my eyes and watch him perform. I know it's his artform but you can't hear the way he keeps his eye on his notes.

They were both very careful with their words. Hard to imagine. Doesn't seem like anyone is like that anymore. It was a more careful time..

No, that seems to be vanishing.
