Bit of a post holiday catch up in an introduction...

The holiday was amazing - Australia is something else, I just want to move there! Melbourne is artistic and cool, so many young people and felt so safe even walking alone at night. I didn't want to leave!!!!

Sydney is...well, Sydney. The city at first didn't really grab me much at all - the centre was just full of sky scrapers and shops and if you know me, there has never been anything wrong with that but after Melbourne, it was a bit of a difference and I didn't like it. But then...you go see the harbor, and the islands, and you keep looking around to familiarize yourself with the sorroundings...and you just fall in love with it all, the people, the places, the sun...everything. We also went to Bondi beach and learnt how to surf - BEST.DAY.EVER. I even managed to get up and ride a wave. There were other people there doing the lesson and I was the only one who managed to keep doing it.

The instructor was impressed, shame he wasn't hot LOL. I had such an amazing time though, I didn't want it to end. Leaving Australia to go to Japan was hard work - normally I want to leave a place when I am on holiday because I am ready to get back to my house, my friends etc but not whilst I was there. I just didn't want to leave - if it wasn't for the 24 hour flight, I would be there next week.

Japan and Tokyo were...OK. I didn't know what to expect but whatever I saw didn't really excite me much. Don't get me wrong, the temples, the traditions, the people were all amazing but that's it. It's a large city with no soul. Lights, skyscrapers, shops, cars...all fun at first but the novelty wears off pretty quickly. What I loved was seeing the traditions still intact, how people interact with each other, how friendly they are and how polite they are to everyone - some sceneries took my breath away and I was so happy to be there. However, I was ready to get back. I wouldn't go again...or maybe I would but I would stay well away from the big city and its chaos. I would go to places which are not very well known, to see the villages, how people "really" live. Either way, they were experiences I will never ever forget.

I have so many pictures on facebook (more than 700 to be precise) but I will upload some here when I have more time.

Now it's back to normal. Well, I got back on the 5th April, and two weeks later (this weekend just gone) I have gone home for Easter and got back to the UK only now. I have been a right jet-setter - nothing planned till July now, when I will go back home again for the Summer holidays and then August for 4 days in Barcelona for pole training. I love my job and life lately.

I think things are going back to normal now and I am learning to be happy again. Couldn't come soon enough.
