And it's Friday in These Foolish Things

Just because I’m no longer on FB or IG doesn’t mean I’m not getting the news. What do you all think about Trump getting Covid? Hmmmm? I don’t wish him death, but I certainly hope that this will change some people’s perspective on things - especially his! This sure does change the race a bit, doesn’t it? Though, of course Trump can spin this thing in so many directions. Will be interesting to see how this thing plays out. The fact that he is displaying symptoms is not a good sign.

In other news, it’s Friday.

This morning I got up and took the dog in to get her vaccines updated. She needed her annual Leptospirosis and her 6-month Bordatella vaccines and I always feel so awful when she has to have them (especially the Lepto) because it hurts her! She’s always lethargic and sore after Lepto…like she just got a shingles shot or something. In fact, she cries when I pick her up because it hurts her little shoulder. My poor baby. She’s lying next to me in her bed, looking pathetic.

So yes it’s Friday and I’m at the office - currently sitting through a Zoom meeting with sales and operations. There’s a dude who gets on these calls every time and he’s clearly a fuck-up and he tries to ramble and ramble his way though these meetings. He bumbles and fumbles and it always amazes me how these dudes get a bunch of kudos for getting orders. They are ORDER TAKERS for sure. They can’t do anything else. Ugh. Everybody else has to cover for these dudes (and I say “dudes” because, frankly, they are the ones who fumble their way through all of this).

Had my annual review yesterday, and I don’t want to get into it. I’m only noting it here as a record of when I was given my review, and even stating that I was given my review, I mean that in the most literal sense. My boss handed me a piece of paper and told me to read it and let him know what parts I’d like to discuss. What a fucking joke.

I haven’t heard anything from Giant Corporation regarding the interview I had last week. They told me that they would likely be following up this week, but I know how slow big companies can be. Still, it’s Friday. Hm.

And after such a full weekend last week, I don’t have much for this weekend. This is a good thing. Much to get done on the home front this weekend. Long walks (likely the lake in the morning), more organization (I am getting ideas from the Home Edit, though I don’t like everything they do, it does look pretty…nifty). And planning for my close-to-home vacation the week after next.

Okay, time to check on the dog and see if she’ll go for a little lunchtime walk with me.

Happy Friday, y’all.
Stay away from the covid!

Man. I don’t know what to think.

Amaryllis October 02, 2020

I think I actually do wish him death. I've been trying to understand what this means about me morally. It's kind of a greater good logic morality problem for me, I think.

I can't say this hadn't crossed my mind either. So.

Athena Amaryllis ⋅ October 03, 2020

I’m totally hoping he dies and do not pretend otherwise.

You're not the only one.

Ginger Snap plushcreep ⋅ October 04, 2020

I'm getting closer by the minute. Tonight I wished him major suffering.

Amelie's Twin October 02, 2020

Your review sounds like mine pretty much. Frustrating.

Gangleri October 02, 2020

I wonder how many people he got sick while he was testing negatively but contagious.

Marg October 03, 2020

I’m terrified he’ll only get it mildly and then tell us all it was a cakewalk and we’re all making a fuss about nothing :(
Poor Martini - hope she feels better soon!

OMG, dogs post-vaccine are the saddest thing. My JRT used to sleep on me for hours afterwards, like an actual human baby needing their mom.

I do not think he has it . I think it is a ploy for sympathy after that disastrous debate .
