Tell you what?
They’ll suggest that accept
that this has never been a perfect world.
One way or another,
we’re all bound to hurt,
so just deal with it.

Tell you what?
They’ll say it’s not always about you.
We all know it’s true.
Still, each of us may complain
when things don’t go our way.
Consider that a privilege
or some self-entitlement.
Either way,
I ain’t got much to say.
Perhaps none.
I may have grown indifferent.

Tell you what?
What?
Nothing.
Just don’t forget this:
Each of us may fall into the same trap
of playing double-standard.
You may expect people to hush…
…stay silent…
…be quiet…
out of your personal convenience,
yet you won’t stop with the talk
about what should and shouldn’t be said…
