Good Weekend... in 2020

It was a pretty good weekend. I got out of work early on Friday for whatever reason. Came home and my dad was here cutting the grass. It needed it terribly. Then I spent like the next 5-6 hours cleaning and doing laundry etc. Then my old boss and her hubby and kids came over to pick up their kittens. One of them had already gone to it’s new home last weekend, so I’m down 3 kittens. I still have 3 left, plus the momma, and the other momma. I’ve decided I’m probably pretty much stuck with the mommas and probably keeping Dinah, but I have got to find homes for the other 2 kittens. I have 12 cats in my house right now…

On Saturday the bf went and picked up breakfast at this little local place we discovered the weekend before. They’re only open like 7-2 and serve breakfast all the time. They have a combo where you get 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of sausage, 2 eggs, hashbrown casserole, a biscuit and gravy for $10 and it’s like $1 more to add blueberries to your pancakes. It’s pretty yummy. Then we gave all 4 dogs baths and trimmed up Zoey’s hair around her face. I don’t want to shave the rest of her because my luck the weather would get cold next week if I did. Then we went to Kroger and finally got my RA prescription. I realized recently that every time I filled it at Walgreens (once a month) they were charging my HRA account a little over $100. And we’re talking about a generic medication not even name brand. On goodrx it said I could get a 3 month supply for $35. So I had to call my Dr and get her to change the prescription to Kroger and make it a 3 month supply and then I ended up at Kroger twice before they got it right. I’m probably still going to make sure they didn’t charge my HRA account tomorrow. I hate talking to insurance companies and I’ve had to do it repeatedly lately. Oh and we stopped by the liquor store and had a drink last night when we got home.

Today we mostly lounged. We went out for Mexican and I had a margarita. After we came home I looked over payroll. Oh by the way I finally got a new work laptop but I hate windows 10 and how I have to open email now makes checking payroll a nightmare. Then I cooked this cabbage thing for dinner. I don’t particularly like cabbage but it’s good in that dish. Bf really enjoyed it and we have leftovers. I just like that you throw everything in a pot and stick it in the oven for an hour. Easy…

Also… we made an appointment with the fertility clinic to see about IVF. It’s a teleappointment just to discuss things first, but I’m hopeful. I know it’s going to be a lot of money, but I really want a kid and I’m pushing 40.
