I don’t know about you, but I am inundated by appointment reminders from my doctors. On line. They jam up my inbox and give me pause about all the paperwork to be filled out. I should be appreciative. Instead I feel like an old lady who wants to be left alone.

I reply to them all as fast as I can so I can get on to playing online, showering, having lunch….you know, the good stuff. No pool today as the air is black with smoke. The sun was a screaming red, out of focus circle as it sank into the sea last night. Frightening. I remember fires scaring me like that in the 60’s. California is burning to the ground.

“Your dreams will become a reality,” says my latest fortune cookie. If you want me, you can find me playing with the new Photoshop. Yes, I am having fun with it, and I am grateful they haven’t changed with program too much.

Himself: Has no plans. He told me so.
Myself: Shower, lunch, then Photoshop before dinner.
Reading: A Dick Francis I don’t remember, but I do remember the cover.
Photo: Comic Con 2012. This one needs cropping.
Gratitude’s: That we are retired.

It is the same way with the vet. I have had 6 reminders, on my phone and online for an appointment I made Thursday for tomorrow. Then you get there and wait in your car for eons! And you don't even see the vet, they come and take your animal and talk to you on your cell.

Sympathy and understanding for remembering the cover, not the contents.
I tell myself I like rereading stuff I liked the first time because I'm a different person now and I see things differently. There is some truth in that. Plus it just reminds me.... of then.

It's smoky in Victoria. I wonder if the smoke is from California.

Yes, probably it is. They have begun evacuating Portland, Oregon today.

The fires in California look and sound like the first ring of Hell :-( I am so sorry for those impacted by them.
