And THIS is Why I'm Single in These Foolish Things

I turned down a date tonight. So what am I doing at 8:45 on a Saturday night?

Lounging in bed in jammie pants and a tank top with a bowl of popcorn, a sleeve of Starburst, a can of bubbly water and Real Housewives of NYC on my laptop.

Also, my dog is curled up at the foot of my bed sleeping.

It’s wonderful, but too easy.

Next weekend let’s plan for better, okay?

Love,
GS

Still sounds lit!

Sounds nice.

Soliloquy September 05, 2020

Hey, I’m in a big cat T-shirt and boy shorts on my couch watching baseball with an imperial brown ale and my tiny dog snoozing between my knees and under my iPad. This is the great part of being single. Enjoy!

Sounds like a great plan, although I might watch something else haha :)

Sounds pretty spectacular, actually.

Yeah, better than a dud date!

Complicated Disaster September 06, 2020

Sounds like a legit Saturday night! Xx

There is no "too" easy - just easy. Do what feels good! That sounds like a perfect, cozy, lovely, healing Saturday night. Doesn't sound like you do that sort of thing all the time!

IpsoFacto September 06, 2020

Sounds like a perfect evening to me. It could be worse, you could be with an 83-year-old grandpa who is practically
deaf and wants the television volume so loud you are afraid that your head will spontaneously self combust.

Sounds peaceful! I spent mine watching hockey, then working on a jigsaw puzzle while sipping Prosecco. I would say it's just pandemic life, but that's how all of my Saturday nights are.

Better than listening to a fellow carry-on about his prostrate.
(But the Starbursts are really bad for your teeth!)
... Sorry, couldn't stop myself from saying that.

Ugh...I know. Not only are Starbursts bad for my teeth, but sooooo bad for my health in general! It's like eating squares of rubbery sugar. And I loved them! I hadn't had them in forever. And I hope I don't crave them for a long, long, long time.
