Trust me, this one won't be long...I haven't had my coffee yet lol.
Anyway, things are going good here. I took my PBT exam in Indy on Friday, and I PASSED! Minimum passing score is 400 and I got a 557, so I did well considering how tough it was. So now I can officially call myself Wendy Byers, PBT(ASCP)cm :). I hurriedly fixed my resume again and applied to a few more phlebotomist jobs, but I've not heard anything yet.
HOWEVER, I did get a call yesterday from a home health agency close to here that is looking for home health aides. It isn't what I want to be doing, but I can work right here in new castle, and it will give me health care experience while I continue to look for a phlebotomist job. There's also room for advancement. These are people that I came across at a booth at Gradfest earlier this month, and they actually came looking for me. Another good thing is if I decide to go back to school for LPN, they might assist me in that...may even pay my tuition, who knows. All I can do is give it a shot and its work, so I can start saving money for a new car, phone and house. We have GOT to get out of my mother in law's little house. There's just not enough room for everyone here.
Anyway, that is all I have for today. I am going to go get my coffee and take a look at what else we have going on for today. Buh bye for now!
