As you can most likely tell from the title, I got the home health aide job! I finished my second day of orientation yesterday. I got quite the surprise though. I had interviewed with a woman named Mary, and she already had in mind what client she wanted to place me with. I was going to be working part-time hours and every other weekend. Well...yesterday when I talked to scheduling, that all changed.
Come to find out my client went into the hospital, so those hours are non-existant for now. BUT, the woman from scheduling offered me a team lead position on the spot, which means full time hours, more pay AND I get to drive a company car. I am quite excited to try this out. I start today and will be working 6-2 with every Tuesday off and working every other weekend. Its going to work out great. My mother in law will get Braylen to school in the mornings, and I will be off just in time to swing by his school on his way home to pick him up.
Anyway, I will let you all in on how it goes. I gotta hop off here and get ready to take the kids over to their Mimi so I can go to work. Man, it sure feels nice to be an employed member of society again :)
