Last Friday of Furlough in These Foolish Things

Boss had sent a text last week and earlier this week about how we need to get together on my priorities for when I’m back in the office next week. At one time, he said he wanted to take me to lunch to go over things - likely Friday. That’s why I scheduled my car to get serviced today so I could be in that area (car dealership is close to office). Ended up that Boss just wanted to email me my priorities today, so he asked for my personal email.

Ha - that motherfucker has flooded my inbox this morning with emails. I replied to the first email saying thanks for the recap of my priorities for when I’m back in the office and that I’d forward all of his emails to my work email address to cover WHEN I’M BACK IN THE OFFICE!!

Like, seriously??! He wanted me to start work today and probably think about it and worry all weekend about all the stuff I’ve missed after HE FIRED ME??!!

Nope, nope, nope. I didn’t even read the emails. I will get to them on Monday.

Today I will enjoy my last weekday of furlough.

I’m off to get car serviced, take a walk around the lake I normally walk during my work lunch breaks, and just try to de-stress before the action starts up again on Monday.

Happy Friday, everyone!!
Love you so much,
GS
