Blowing in Sunshine

Today the sun is shining and I don’t think I could be any happier. Is it because of the heat? No. Do I want to get a tan? No.

Does Sunshine want a tan?

I wondered that this morning as I watched from my porch.

She was earlier than usual this morning. I missed her daybreak coffee. I missed her stretches. I even missed her workout routine.

It would have been an awful start to the day, missing all that. It wasn’t until I saw the reason fo her early start that I began to smile.

Sunshine has set up a hammock in her yard. She is taking full advantage of the breeze as it dances over and under her. Touching that fair almost impossibly fair skin. She’s like a porcelain doll, with a mole for character between her shoulderblades.

I was worried she was trying to tan at first! It would be a pity to ruin such pretty skin. But no- I was worried for nothing. It seemed like only a moment after I started to worry that she began to apply sun lotion. She had it already outside and everything!

Good girl. I’m happy. She is out and she is smiling.
