The weather is nice today. Wisconsin in May is unpredictable. When the sun is out so are the people.
She was up early today. By the time I looked out my window there was the telltale signs she was awake; the dining room blinds were open.
To my surprise she was out in her yard. She had a coffee in one hand and was holding her sweater closed with the other. Early morning meant it was still a little chilly and I could see the wind playing with her hair. She had her red hair tied up in itself. It’s like she is a different person when she does this.
Sunshine wasn’t smiling but she didn’t look sad either. I don’t know what she was doing outside. Stretching her legs maybe? She walked around her yard. There was some trash caught in the barrier between yards and she collected it before throwing it away. I smiled at that.
The trash blows there when people litter on the road. The mainence man is supposed to take care of it but he doesn’t come by often. I think the owners are new too. So many new faces. It looks like all four of the buildings are rented out now but it’s hard to tell. I don’t have a view of the other two. They face the other way. It doesn’t make sense because the the back buildings don’t get a yard and the front buildings do. (You’d think an architect would want a yard rear facing?)
It’s a blessing and a curse Sunshine lives in the front one. I got to meet her but she doesn’t get a private yard. Because of this she isn’t in her yard much.
She wasn’t out there long before her other was awake. (I don’t know what to call him.) Soon he was in their garage with music blaring. Sunshine didn’t come outside again.
Now she’s in her room. One of her cats is in the window. She has opened it for the fresh air to come in. But only a little, don’t want the cats to get out! The black one will watch me back sometimes. He has a knowing stare.
