I adopted my girl felines August 31st, 2012. As littermates, they will be eight soon. And always my babies. They are far past playfighting with each other. While not cuddly with each other, also quite indifferent to each other.
Enter: The Boy. We adopted Lolo from a friend of a friend of a… eh, I’m a sucker for a cat that needs a home. He should be around four now.
T’Pol seems to be more aggressive. She will walk past Lolo and smack him in the face for no reason. And he is all, “what did I do?” Of course, they mutually chase each other. Feel like Lolo brought T’Pol out of retirement.
And then there is Kira. If Lolo gets vaguely near her - whether she is under a blanket, under a dresser, or on a windowsill, she will growl at him. He has learned to give her a wide berth. It is so fascinating, because Kira is the most gentle cat I have ever had. The “it’s a boy cat” argument doesn’t hold much water with me, as, ahem, I consider myself mostly a boy. And I raised my girls, so.
Heck, remember having a mixed gender social occasion, and Major Kira decided my lap was where she wanted to be.
Meanwhile, T’Pol has swatted at daughter for no reason, like she does Lolo. AND daughter’s friend, for no reason. Kira avoids children at most costs. Hides.
Anyway, point is I wouldn’t fear an offensive cat like T’Pol - she probably just wants food anyway. But back Major Kira into a corner and she will destroy you.
