So it’s finally back to blogging. I’ve missed it the past few years, and have often wanted to get back to it, but I needed to find the right site and get my head together enough to do it.
The reason I stopped? I was betrayed by someone who often told me what good friends we were and how much she loved me as a friend. She was a liar. I finally stopped blogging, saying that I was tired of it and was quitting. Many of my blogging buddies had stopped too, and Facebook took the place of blogs. I stopped writing most everything to keep my words from being fodder for the old crows. So there you have it.
I can’t say I’m entirely past the whole thing. It crops up now and then and doesn’t leave, and I’ve tried to make my peace with it, but it continues. Hopefully this will help, since I’ve had no real outlet for my feelings on this matter. You might hear about this from time to time, but I am really trying to rid myself of it.
Anyway, I have since moved to Arizona, and I must say that was a really good thing. I have a job that I enjoy, I bought a house and have two cats for roomies. I will be retiring as soon as I can pay off my down payment loan. I am SO looking forward to that!
I work at the Depot of Home, and they are being awesome for their employees with all this virus crap going on. Extra sick time, bonus pay for those who work their hours, and double OT ( my store does not allow us to get OT ). I would love to get some double OT, but then again, the whole virus thing makes me more stressed than I was before. Distancing, constant cleaning, the whole mask issue and the increase in business has taken its toll on me. So for the sake of mental health, no OT for me. I am considering taking an afternoon off once a week (not like I don’t have sick time.. ).
But, the downside of this, we have no bubblers (water fountains, for some of you) there is no more community food, we are short staffed because people are using their sick time. And not always because they’re sick.. the work ethic of some people.
I have 2 2-year-old cats. The male is a naughty stinker named Kedi and the female is Kizzy, Miss Piggy in disguise. She eats everything in sight and lounges all day on my bed. I guess she’s retired. Heh.
I also have 2 adult children, a girl and boy. They both are fairly happy and both are still working through this pandemic.
