Shade and reflection in Talks with my past

Shade and reflection are two halves of the same soul, that follow us in our frenetic everyday life.
Reflection, vitreous and shiny part of our soul sheds light upon the shell we live in, showing what we seem and what we look like. It’s the most superficial, colourful and shiny part of it all, yet empty and with no substance, disguising and traitor.
Shade, tireless follower, is instead the dark part of the soul. In its indefinable uniformity we find the truth and depths of ourselves.; there, where our deepest feelings and thoughts rest, forever basin of memories and fragrances, which access is permitted to few, brave enough to undertake a spirally downward journey. Shade follows us in daylight and wrap us at night.
A bag full of rancour and melancholia , heavy but of course bearable.
