Don't Tempt God in God, With Skin On

Leave to the “Bible Thumpers” to get it stirred up. First, let me say this, there is a fine line between Faith and Stupidity. Next, look I get it. Some of you believe God for any and everything, some of you believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That is your God-given rights. I wouldn’t want to infringe upon those rights.
For those of us with a common-sense approach to COVID-19, Let me explain something for those who want to say we are weak in the faith.
Abraham, that great man of faith was no fool. He didn’t just start off on a journey to nowhere. He didn’t wake up Monday morning and say, Wife, pack up the house we are going to move! Nope, God told him what to do. But I want to look at what we call the Faith Chapter, and how it starts out.

Hebrews 11:1 AMP
Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Simply put, Abraham took God at His word. He did not believe God for something God had not already promised. Big difference.

Now excuse me, I am at work, without a mask, and don’t want to spread this COVID 19 to you! Take care, stay safe, and be smart.

You made my day.

Fine line, indeed.

I am glad I could help! That's really all I'm here for. That and locate someone who will cut my hair on the sly...

Probably a fine line between faithlessness and recklessness too.

I had a (minister) friend of mine when this first started saying God would protect the 'true' Christians. from this. I scoffed. The first person in our state to die? A 50-year-old pastor! So much for that eat or drink any deadly thing and be safe!

My thought is that God has prepared many medical people to be able to deal with this virus. And we should not be going out just to prove we can't get the virus.

I totally agree. But you can't fix stupid.
