Day 2: Moscow in Russia Travel Log

My in laws had to pass through the ‘thorough’ custom check because of medications they were taking, but ended up getting routed through the normal custom that we went through - which was actually nothing. No one inspected our bags, or even our custom declaration forms. The agents just waved us through.

Viking was practiced in receiving guests from airports, and the ride to the boat was smooth.
The boat was a bit old (31 years) but the interiors were all renovated. Our stateroom was even slightly bigger than previous Viking staterooms we’d been in. The bathroom was still old though; it still used water to flush (instead of vacuum system).

We didn’t do much the first day; we napped a bit to catch up to the jet lag, went to a welcome talk, met up with my parents, ate, and then got ready for the next day.
