I have often been called Santa by children. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
But the other day I had a young girl come running at me calling out to me, calling me Captain America. She hugged me tight, telling me how she was going to see my movie next week. Her face was glowing as she talked to me and hugged me repeatedly. It finally became clear to me why she was calling me Captain America. My uniform has an American flag on on the shoulder and as she hugged me and talked to me she kept touching and pointing to the American flag. I could not help myself as tears welled up in my eyes. She was so sweet and loving. I love the innocence of children.
We went out with friends last night. I had a great time as we rank two pitchers of beer and devoured some really great bar food! We laughed and joked till we all were in tears! I had taken my pain meds so with the beer I had a severe rushing buzz going! I kept telling Deb that I want to take "Annie Bell" out for a long night time ride. I was good and stayed home.
Got a new toy!
We have a DPMS AR15 with all kinds of goodies added on. It has a light rail with light, laser, verticle grip, collapsable stock, scope, sling and hard case. This is my third AR, so I imagine this one will end up at a Gun Show for sale. I should be able to make a nice profit as I got it cheap!
Still working on the bathrrom, getting closer to done.
Spent the morning hauling off recyclables, made several trips in the Jeep and truck! But thankfully we regained our back porch.
Got a short ride in on Annie Bell. I wore my tiny skid lid. It felt great to have my knees in the breeze.
All for now.
