Sunny days, keeping the clouds away in Parenting!

So, that’s 3 weeks of lockdown completed. Three weeks of waking up each morning in Tom’s arms. Three weeks of Noelle being in constant contact with both parents.

What this has done is become a full-time experiment of can I live with Tom, and so far the answer is a resounding yes. He is working from home (he got that sorted out the day after Boris announced the lockdown), and we’ve had to do a bit of reorganisation to make this work. He’s set up in Noelle’s room, but during the day we have a small carry-cot for Noelle and if she needs naps, we put her in that and she goes in our bedroom.

It’s been lovely sunny weather this week, so I’ve been out in the garden for a bit, but not too long at once as I get hayfever. If Noelle was a year older, I’m sure I would have a paddling pool and be out there in it with her!

Coronavirus isn’t all bad news. Boris (our Prime Minister) has got it; he’s the first major world leader to be unable to work because of it. He’s recovering now which is good. Also, it’s not a game-over for the oldest people - a story came out this week, a 101 year old man in this country had a knee operation and caught it in hospital - and he fought it off and is now home, having recovered.

Last night we were having a game of cards, with Noelle asleep, between the four of us, nd it was decided by everyone else that they weren’t going to play Cribbage with me any more! After we had a chat, and it came to “What is the first thing you will do after coronavirus?” Tom’s answer was (and I quote), “Buy Maizee a ring.”

Happy Easter everyone, and I hope you all manage to keep safe.
