How strange to be living in a time of a global epidemic. After Boris Johnson’s announcement yesterday evening, recommending people work from home where possible, that is what our work is now doing. It’s not enforced, they’ve said work where you feel most comfortable, but work from home if you can while keeping things running. Being a digital department, we are able to do that so home it is for the foreseeable future.
I’m mildly worried about my Mum, having cancer and going through chemo makes her a high risk case. But so far South Africa is taking things very seriously. However it is also worrying that should anything happend, I wouldn’t be able to go there as flights from the UK are now blocked along with those from many other countries. Fingers crossed her and my Dad manage to avoid it.

I am chewing my poor fingers to death at the moment, to the point of bleeding and pain. I wish I knew how to stop, but it gives me such satisfaction.

I fluctuate between wanting to log the rise of Coronavirus in my bullet journal, and also wanting to ignore the news. The word is everywhere you tur, so one cannot get away from it, so I don’t want to obsess over it any more, but also think it will be interesting to look back on in years to come.

Will I know people that die from it? Judging by the news, that seems likely. Who will it be?
