Should've could've? in A small but passable life.

I finished reading “The Institute” by Stephen King. A story. A good story. But just a story. Nothing new there.

I believe winter is over. Highs in the mid-seventies and lows in the mid-forties. Good hiking weather for sure. But I haven’t done any hiking.

I’ve wrote out a “To Do” list for 2020. I won’t be able to complete any of it until September. And maybe not even then, depending upon the amount of SS I’m to receive, if any, or much at all.

The statistics are there on the internet. There are approximately 40 million unpaid “caregivers” currently in the US. Mind you, I am getting paid. I’m getting room and board. I have a brand new car to drive even though I don’t use it much. And I do receive a few items every once in a while.

My plan, if possible, is to bank all income and prepare for a future of travel when this gig ends. I’ll travel light and cheap. A backpack and a debit card. That is the plan.

Plans can always change. They usually do.

Here’s the deal about traveling. The mode of travel determines the travel experience. Obviously. Examples abound on the internet. There are pros and cons to every method.

Or I could just continue to sit in this chair.

We’ll see what happens.

I’ll remain curious about the outcome.

I loved that book. I mean it was fluff reading. You're right. But it was good fluff reading

I rarely read King. I"m not sure why. I read him in all of our youths and that seems enough. I might just be jealous of his vast success.
I can't find the book I"m currently reading and it's a library book and I can't lose it.
Thinking about travel. Yours not mine. I get your method and find it appealing but doubt I'd ever do it. KIds wants me north in April and I don't know whether to say no now or wait or just do it. Take the train. The train is sort of fun. I have two sons and I depend on them a lot. I am depended on too, maybe, maybe not. Enough though that I can't make snap decisions. As if I would?
