Motivation Needed in 2020 Vision

I am on the motivational struggle bus today. I have no interest being here at work today even though I have plenty of work to do to keep me occupied. I think I’m just bored. Usually when I’m feeling this way its because its a superbly nice day outside and I wish I were out enjoying it. It is not a nice day outside today. There is nothing out there weather-wise for me to enjoy.

My back has been stiff recently. It started out as a pinched nerve in my neck, and twisting my neck would send little jolts to my right shoulder blade. That lasted about a week and then went away. Now its just remaining stiffness. I think I might have kept my muscles tense during the pinched nerve thing and now the muscles are beginning to realize “oh, I can relax now”.

I’m also blaming it as tension that resulted from running into the ex. Its easiest to blame it on that episode than to blame it on something like aging.

I am wondering if there will be a legit job change for me in the year of 2020. Our major contract with the DOE is ending in September. I know my CEO (like 74 years old) has been wanting to retire for years. Her sons are lazy and would be the next in line to be the CEO. Right now our office lease ends in July and they were really adamant about not renewing it for anything further out. My coworker A is moving to Hawaii in March, so it will literally only be M and me left, so it would make sense to just have M and me work from home at that point. (They’ve agreed to let A stay with the company and work from home; she’s practically married to this company). But they also don’t want to renew our contract with our payroll processing software (ADP) for more than a year (we’d get AMAZING deals if we agreed to a 2 or 3 year contract with them). My boss has also mentioned that he doesn’t have plans on leaving them and switching to something else. So, its like, uhhh and why exactly do you not want to agree to a 2 year contract with ADP to save major $$$? We’ll see how the year progresses. Jobs will be a lot easier to apply to and interview for if I’m working from home come July.

Anywho, I finished making this this weekend:

1630 pieces. I don’t think I’ll be doing another one any time soon lol. It looked cool when I bought it off Amazon, and I think it turned out well, but man soooooo many small one-peg pieces! And they don’t come presorted, so you have to separate the pieces by size type/color at the beginning if you hope to come out of the build alive.

So i should probably get back to work now.
