Round two in These titles mean nothing.

It’s two hours long but it’s very good. Save it for when you have some time and maybe something else to do while you listen. There’s lots to watch too.

Ray Price played a little fair at National in the county south of us, a pretty fairground in the middle of corn fields. He had violins - you can tell how important ‘strings’ are to his music - that had come from one of the colleges in Dubuque. They wore shorts and sat on folding chairs on the edge of the stage and watched the country musician with interest, and then played their parts very well, well enough to please Mr. Price. Someone said Price is a real singer, comparable to Sinatra or Bennett. He had a couple late career hits with Kris Kristofferson songs - For the Good Times and another one he sings here. And Willie and Merle of course are Willie and Merle.

Hey I have a question for you regular writers here. Is there a time of day that you usually write? If so when?

I’m thinkin of establishing a habit. Sure, I am.

Thanks for your consideration.

Good question. I’ve noticed a few folk seem to write their entries at the same time - like at the end of the day or before their evening meal. When my health was okay and I wrote more regularly I can’t remember if I had a certain time of day when I wrote - I do remember I had to wait for the computer to be freed up because the 3 of us shared it for a long time!! I think I sometimes wrote entries in longhand then typed them up when I got the chance. Now if I’m doing an entry I occasionally jot down stuff on the phone while in bed (I do all my reading and comments from there) then expand when I’m on the iPad later in the afternoon. And photos get added in the evening. So all over the place in other words! :)

My mother loved Ray Price.

I like to write first thing in the mornings, somewhere between 5 and 7. If I don't get to it by then, it's harder for me to write an entry.

Excellent question! Unfortunately, can't help with that much. Between my office and my phone; I have internet almost literally attached to me so I just write whenever the mood strikes. But if you're looking for a "recommended routine", I hear morning and evening work best. Either before your day to collect your thoughts or after your day to vent those thoughts out into the world.

"For the Good Times" was playing in our local watering hole the last time we were there.

I think it would be evening but then...often it is afternoon that I write. I fold it around other things that are done or don't need attention. After all...I live in a house named Idle Hours!

I am very sporadic but I would like to develop a regular practice .

I write in the mornings usually after I finish my 750 Words. That way I write more deliberately and not only top of the head stuff.

Thank you for reminding me that there were once singers that sang and understandably enunciated lyrics that did not make me want to take lye soap to them.

I don't have a set writing time. Sometimes in the evening, as it is right now. Other times early in the morning. Some days not at all.

Generally, I find energy level is better in the morning, time is better in the evening. November and December my routine was writing between 8am and 9am, because that was after a coffee run and before people came in to the office to notice that I might be doing something.

Still figuring out my routine now, but I'm going to try to aim for mornings.
