Well, I am trying to make sure I write in here often enough that I don't forget any big milestones for my little munchkin! I still can't believe that she is already 3 1/2 months old. Time is absolutely flying and it feels like just yesterday that I was pregnant. So, what is she up to these days?
She is smiling up a storm. My favorite is the early morning smile. She wakes up and I go to say good morning and get a huge smile from her. Its so sweet and absolutely makes my day! She has rolled over a couple of times but it doesn't seem to be her favorite activity.
Napping...she is turning in to a pro napper for Daddy! She has been taking like a 3-4 hour nap in the morning and then another nice long one in the afternoon. Today she took a 5 1/2 hour nap. She slept from 8:30-2. I cannot believe that! She has been eating 2-4 oz bottles while I am at work. The time that I am gone she should be eating 3 but I dont think she loves the bottle. I think she eats it because she is hungry but she would prefer nursing, which I am good with. She typically eats twice in the morning before I leave for work and then 2-3 times at night when I get home, but the first time is usually like 45-60 mins.
She is loving sitting in her bumbo seat and starting to hold on to a couple of toys. She has a couple of balls and sophie the giraffe. She has started to put them in to her mouth, and her hands. She always has something in her mouth.
She is going to be moving out of her 0-3 month clothing soon. Its still fitting but most of it goes up to 12 lbs and she has to be almost 12 lbs. She was 11 lbs exactly at 3 months. I am taking off St. Patrick's Day for a doctors appt for her, one for me, and we are going to go to the lactation group to see our friends if they are around! I washed all of her 3-6 month clothing this past weekend so that I can have that ready. And, as she grows out of stuff I will put it away so that we can move on.
Piper went to her first birthday party this past weekend. My friend Kristy from college has a son that was turning 3. It was a low key and fairly quiet party but she did a really good job. She actually slept through the first 1/2 of it.
Alright, time to get ready for bed. I have been staying up until midnight and that is just too late! Be back soon!
