Front Porch Light in A New House on a New Landscape

Sometimes there is a gleam from the past. It sparkles, capturing attention. The entrancing, glittering picture inspires the dream of what could have been. The picture is not clear, but familiar.

To turn away is hard. The road ahead is in disrepair, and around the bend is an unknown venture. The light shines in this direction, though.

The light shining helps the turn complete. Once in the right direction, the glance back produces the realization needed: the sparkling gleam of the past was just light cast off from the illuminated future, and not from within anything the past may contain. The past is behind us for that reason. Once completed, never to be relived.

It contains only reminders, and very few answers. The doorway is by the light, and the glimmering past requires your movement to keep sparkling.

You are in control.
