Wow... My last entry was only written a short while ago and yet I got so many notes and ALL of them private!
I get that it's an emotional topic for a lot of people...
For the record, I had one who thought the information was bogus and the rest along of the lines of "I'm not surprised"
I'd hate for anyone who really wanted to know to stop here though. Go out there and research the facts from both sides yourself and then draw your own conclusions. BOTH SIDES is the key. No use just going to a source that's going to support your current state of thinking.
Anyhow enough of that....
I went on a new trail yesterday and although to you they'll just look like my normal trail pictures, I was in a state of bliss!!! LOVED going somewhere new... and I even came face to face with a kangaroo. This has happened many times for me but not in this particular location and they way they bound up jumping soooo strong.. such majestic creatures!... with tiny little arms.. haha
And for the record, it's magpie season and I had to overcome a highly irrational fear to go out on my own. I say irrational because tons of other people go out and don't give it another thought but I just live in fear in the month of September whenever I'm out... (See article here http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-08-31/magpies-magpie-attack-spring-wildlife-birds/4926620) I made a solution though as you'll see in the photos below...
(Above) I'm wearing my "toughen up princess" top for courage against the magpies!! haha
(Below) He's harmless by it did give me a fright as he came out of nowhere and we had a staring contest for a little while!
When I got to this open part (above) is when I started to get worried about magpies. Before that I was sheltered somewhat by vegetation... So.....
... I solved the problem by picking up a branch and walking along with that. And it's now in my boot (that's trunk for you Americans!) ready for my walk on Tuesday
