Client #954t asks:
“Is a personal trainer worth it? Especially if it’s my first time weightlifting in the gym? I recently got a gym membership to start getting back into shape and wanted to start doing weightlifting so I can have some muscle. I’m really skinny and only weigh about 126lbs. I’m 17 years old by the way. Is a personal trainer worth it? How costly are they?”

To answer your questions in order they were asked yes, a personal trainer is worth the investment you are still a teenager just starting at the gym so the added support as well as having someone there to make sure the exercises are done properly are a must so you don’t get yourself hurt. As for cost it will vary based on what type of program you want, how long your sessions will be, how many days a week etc. There usually isn’t a flat fee for a trainer working out of a gym. If you choose to go that route, they can offer you a price idea based on what you’re wanting. They can range from 30$ for a half hour session to upwards of 100$ that’s a question that you would have to ask them in person. But the cost is definitely an investment worth making because it’s an investment in your health and your future.
