Feb. 23 - Saudade in Posso's Prompts

Saudade (n:) a feeling of longing, melancholy, or nostalgia that is supposedly characteristic of the Portuguese or Brazilian temperament.

She yearned to be part of the sky
so much that she marked her body with a constellation
never considering what would happen to her body with time
For the best, she could explode into the night and be a sight to be seen
At worst, flicker, fade and slowly die as no one notices.

I wrote a lot of things on loose paper and bar napkins last year and this is just one I found while trying to enter everything I’m behind on into here, and this just seemed to fit.
