I got the sunday paper yesturday and read an article "Long - term jobless not rebounding" - The article was based on an engineer that lost his job at Jabeel. I could have written the article along with a million others. The only way to get a job is to have a job and that is so totally an oxymoron. The longer your out of a job the less of a chance you have finding a job. Then right next to that long article is "Officials cheered as site failed unemployed" It is so bad here that they had to hire an off duty police officer to handel the irrate calls from people not getting there unemployment checks. It has been messed up since Oct. They have tried to "fix" the situation of glitches and now there getting fined $15,000 a day. Can you imagine not getting a check for months from unemployment that you are due? In Jan.there were still 49 unresolved "issues".... Even after alllllllll this time we are still not out of the hole. People are under a false pretense that everything is ok. No it's not.
Yes, my job is hard and overwhelming but so grateful I have 2 jobs. I would love to have just one and one day I might but right now as Dad an Mom would say you gotta strike while the iron is hot and it is. Speaking of which I gotta get ready for work. I am working with Sherrel tonight who is awful. Why can't they hire more white people? Not that white people work better than black but from where I work at they do. We only have white LPN's. All of house keeping is black and 99% of the CNA's are black. There are 4 white's and the rest black. I know there are changes happening this week and every day I walk in is every day I have a job. The uncertainty is overwhelming. So many peeps get fired every week and the ones who get hired never ever show up and if they do they work 2 days and quit or just 1 day or a half day an there gone. We need a revolving door on the place.
