The Star of India being towed out in 2009. Viewed from the top of Point Loma.
She hasn’t sailed in five years. This year, on her 155th Birthday, the Star of India sails again.
We will drive down to Shelter Island to get a few good pictures. Then off to the big book sale, breakfast out, dinner shopping, and a nap. A simple but busy day. He’s staying home from the several meetings and the museum…tho he could have used my scooter.
We joke, “It’s only leaking a little.”
“Mine too,’ I say.

I am sure she will be glorious. Will they actually unfurl her sails? Glad to hear Bobbie made contact. Such a gorgeous day to be out and about.

It is glorious, but it is very smoky downtown. Grey pictures not crisp like this one.
