Now Playing: Jenna and Julien Podcast #203

I wrote one of these already today, but I’m procrastinating because I’m tired. So I’m gonna do a questionnaire thingy.

1. What is more difficult for you, looking into someones eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someones eyes when they are telling you how they feel?

Looking into someone’s eyes when they tell me how they feel. Not because it’s difficult for me to handle emotional conversation but because I don’t really like making eye contact all that much.

2. Think of the last time you were REALLY angry. WHY were you angry? Do you still feel the same way?

I was furious that my professor was talking down to the class. I can handle many things, but do not belittle me.

3. You are on a flight from Honolulu to Chicago non-stop. There is a fire in the back of the plane. You have enough time to make ONE phone call. Who do you call? What do you tell them?

I should say my husband, but I think I’d call my mom. “I love you. Thank you. Please tell DH I love him.”

4. You are at the doctor’s office and he has just informed you that you have approximately one month to live. Do you tell anyone/everyone you are going to die? What do you do with your remaining days? Would you be afraid?

I would absolutely tell everyone. I would need some emotional support. I guess I would just try to spend as much time as I can with the people that I love, fuck the diet and eat all my favorite foods, and cuddle with my puppies. Of course, I’d be afraid. The unknown is scary.

5. You can have one of the following two things. Which do you choose? Why? Love and Trust.

This is a stupid question. I don’t think there can be one without the other.

6. You are walking down the street on your way to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss has told you if you are late even once more, you are fired. Do you take the time to save the dogs life? Why or Why not?

Save the dog! Luckily, my boss is also a crazy dog person and would totally understand, but no job is worth knowing that my indifference lead to suffering and death.

7. Would you rather be hurt by the one you trust the most or the one you love the most?

They’re the same person. I cannot feel genuine love without feeling trust. I don’t get this need to pick between the two.

8. Your best friend confesses that he/she has feelings for you more than just friendship. He/she is falling in love with you. What do you (or did you) do/say?

We got married.

9. Think of the last person who you know that died. You have the chance to give them 1 hour of life back, but you have to give up one year of yours. Do you do it? Why or Why not?

I’d give my sister one hour for Ali, absolutely.

10. Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?

I think so. I’m a little flighty and usually busy but I am incredibly nurturing and caring. I’m the mom friend and I could use a mom friend of my own.

11. Does love = sex?

No. It’s possible to have love without sex and it’s possible to have sex without love.

12. Your boss tells your coworker that they have to let them go because of work shortage, and they are the newest employee. You have been there much longer. Your coworker has a family to support and no other means of income. Do you go to your boss and offer to leave the company? Why or Why not?

That depends on my own financial security. Financial security is incredibly important to me, as it isn’t something I ever had growing up. Do I have other prospects? Do I have kids? I am the only employee where I work. But, DH could float the two of us for a small amount of time (with eating only rice and ramen) so I would probably give up my job for my coworker.

13. When was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt regardless of how difficult it was for you to say? Who was it? What did you have to tell the person?

I tell my husband how I feel all the time. I struggle with a lot of things and he always listens empathetically.

14. What would be (or what was) harder for you to tell a member of the opposite sex, you love them or that you do not love them back?

That I don’t love them back. This is a conversation I’ve had to have a few times and it hurts every time. I want to break up myself into pieces so everyone can be happy but that doesn’t work.

15. What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose?

Internet or electricity. I’m a millennial.

16. Excluding romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them. Who were they to you?

I told my mom I loved her before I hung up the phone and I tell my nanny kids I love them all the time.

17. If there was one moment and one time in the last month what would you change and why?

I can’t think of anything. I wouldn’t have dropped a coke bottle on my foot, I guess.

18. Imagine it is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. WHO do you wish was there with you?

DH.

19. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying? Why or Why not?

Absolutely. Their life isn’t worthless because they don’t have a home. That’s ridiculous.

21. You are holding onto your grandmother’s hand and the hand of a newborn that you do not know as they hang over the edge of a cliff. You have to let one go to save the other. Who do you let fall to their death? What was your rationale for making the decision?

I’d ask my grandmother what she wanted. I love her and trust her judgment.

22. Are you old fashioned?

No? I don’t understand.

23. When was the last time you were nice to someone and did NOT expect anything in return for it?

I like to think I do this all the time. I help people pick up things they’ve dropped, hold doors, etc. all the time. I just like to make people happy.

24.Which would you choose, true love with a guarantee of a broken heart, or never loved at all? Why?

True love. Life isn’t life without love.

25.If you could do anything or wish anything, what would it be?

To be pregnant.
