There is no killing time without injuring eternity — HDT

I’m in the limbo between an appointment and nothing. When I was gifted a lifetime membership to OD, a year before the chronic crashes and then the fatal one, I found a feature that, had I known, I might have bought the lifetime myself. Two things kept me from doing that (again, not knowing the one super cool feature). 1) I’m very old school, started on a dual floppy disc drive computer from zenith, chat rooms were darker and dos based, we all believed the internet should always be free. 2) I wasn’t sure I’d get my moneys worth, like an all you can eat buffet, my lifetime seemed to be dwindling faster than I could gather the pieces or fucking rosebuds.

The feature was that you could look up a word and get a list of entries with that word. Herschel had passed a few years before, and I kicked sunny out for the last time (the first time, I guess, but me kicking her out was final, her kicking herself out had been temporary). I looked Herschel up often. I tried that with the new OD. There was a list of entries, but they seemed random, none had Herschel in them. I got caught up in reading old entries. A lot of them with the grand whelp in them; I did a lot of whelp sitting. It disturbs me that I can’t write with casual brilliance (Ok, brilliance may be over stating, but casual isn’t. There seems to be a stick up my keyboards butt). Shit. I’m going to finish this entry, swear to Jesus. Gotta run though.

Later in the day, an hour and fifteen minutes later than the plumber said he’d get here. Even so, he’s only 300 bucks, the other guys wanted 18000, of course they were going to do a whole remodel. It’s a bit like being sold a new convertible when what you asked for was a hoopdee. Who doesn’t want the new convertible? It’s not like it isn’t worth it, it just isn’t what you were thinking of. I might get the remodel in the winter when they are hungrier and offering better financing. My head is an unhappy place to be at the moment. Physically. Not a great place in other capacities, but, you know.

I like the doctor I saw today. She’s moving to Brighton. Michigan, not any of the more famous Brightons. Heh, Whenever I say Portland around here someone asks ‘Michigan?’ Again, one of the lesser known Portlands, maybe one of the few without a port, I don’t know, it’s pretty far inland. Portlands Oregon and Maine have large ports. I think most towns named Portland do. The closest body of water to Portland Michigan is Lake Odessa, the less famous one. Looking forward to a shower and my head to stop pounding. Be nice.
