Election meddling in Public

I don’t get it.

I assume the Russians make every effort to influence elections in the US. I also assume the US does the same in just about every country in the world. I mean, where propaganda hasn’t worked we have violently unseated governments we don’t like.

This isn’t a republican vs Democrat thing. This is a big government thing in the US and a historical thing going back to colonialism. The Roman Empire?

So why is it big news. Why is anyone surprised. Shouldn’t we all be mad at our FBI, CIA, Intelegence gathering arms, and elected leaders for not doing more to harden the US against this rather then saying “shame on you Putin”. That guy is chuckling all the way home.
