you still cross my mind from time to time. Memories flash.
Back to your lips. moist, parted letting breath escape. The little brown freckle right above your top lip. The way they pushed against mine in a slow tantalizing motion. But your lips they held secrets.
Back to your hands. Rough, they slid right into mine. The same hands that touched me, the same hands that gave me goose bumps and made hair stand straight up. All of the beautiful cracks carved into them. Running threw my hair, and brushing my face. But your hands they held secrets.
Back to your eyes. Ocean Blue, Glaring into mine. Catching the reflection of light around us. Holding my gaze for hours. They told stories, They show a touch of pain. Reflecting promises you had no intention of keeping. But your eyes they held secrets.
They held secrets
Back to the secrets, washing pain over my face. Washing pain over my heart. The secrets that kept us apart.
When memories flash I still smile, but my smile is not whole. It is broken. We are broken.
