I dont feel like explaining it all in here, but someone asked, so I am posting this link. [http://blog.practicalethics.ox.ac.uk/2012/08/the-aap-report-on-circumcision-bad-science-bad-ethics-bad-medicine/]
I am not very technologically oriented, so hopefully the hyperlink works.
So what else is new? Ryan and I took Monday and Tuesday off to spend some time with his dad who came down from Ohio. I wish he hadnt moved back up there--he's not getting any younger and I wish we got to see him more than once (sometimes twice) a year.
I got a few hours to myself yesterday. I met up with Ryan, his dad and Deckles for a late breakfast, then I dropped Deckles off at daycare. Ryan and his dad went to do something and I went over to a clothing store that I have a credit card for, to try and find something new to add to my wardrobe. Ever since having Declan, my former single belly roll sort of turned into 3. So even though I had gotten back to pre-pregnancy weight by the time Declan was 6 weeks old, my clothes didnt fit. I will spare you all the details of the ensuing emotional eating that took place, resulting in gaining back 25 pounds...and how now I can't lose more than a pound without gaining it back. Frustrating.
So I go to the store and it amazes me that such ugly clothes can be so expensive. When will people realize that overweight women do not want to wear huge muumuu sweaters with cats and fake jewels all over them? Especially when it costs $75? This place used to have a sister store that actually had clothes that people wouldnt be embarrassed wearing and that's when I got the credit card. Well, that store has closed and now you can go to this horrible store instead, where every item of clothing looks like a hotel bedspread. Suffice it to say I left there with nothing, except a strong desire to cancel my credit card. Which I think I might do.
I spent a little time at Starbucks, reading on my Kindle. I was getting ready to leave when Ryan texted me that he and his dad were back. So I decided to pick Deckles up at daycare so he could spend some more time with grampy.
All in all, a pretty good couple of days off. Declan has been sleeping better, for the most part, since he got over his first infection a couple weeks ago. Last night he did wake up at 3am but most nights he has been sleeping through until 6 or 7.

Thanks for the link. The AAP position does sound weak.
