Tomorrow I leave on my trip to the trade show where I will launch the line of products I’ve been designing for the past couple of months. As you probably already know, I’m beyond excited and think that this is going to be an AH-MAY-ZING launch! I truly can’t wait to get to the location tomorrow so that I can edit the things I sent to showcase and create a beautiful display of product.
Had a brief conversation with our CEO this morning who told me that it would be nice to send out the press release (scheduled to be released tomorrow AM) to our sales team today to get them excited. I did that and added the full-page advertisement we’re placing in the daily newspaper plus mentions of the additional selling tools, props and visual aids that I’ve put together for the show. It was a VERY exciting email for me to send and most people in the company know how psyched I am about this week and this launch.
I got several positive emails back from my team and from people I admire…and then one from Brown Nosey who simply wrote, “Huh?” and next to it she had cut and pasted a TYPO that I’d made in my email.
I missed ONE FUCKING LETTER in ONE FUCKING WORD, and it made no difference whatsoever - the meaning of the sentence was not lost in my one tiny omission, but she HAD to fucking point it out??!!
Bitch, seriously??!
The funny thing is - I should let her email slide right off my back, and my reply was breezy (not that she even deserved one) - but she’s getting exactly what she wants by my internal reaction. She can’t stand anyone else having any kind of success in this company. She had a huge product debut last year and her product isn’t selling for shit and she’s clearly jealous.
Eh. Whatevs. I still don’t feel knocked down. Plus, karma works in interesting ways.
I can’t wait to get on that plane to get out of town!
This is going to be so FUN!!
