I hear this a lot.
Like… A lot.
All in college. All post college.
In college it was because of my body shape and because of the fact that I want to know what racism is.
I was the white girl they wouldn’t mind dating… Or fucking. (and a former college acquaintance messaged me a few times recently and said he had a crush on me back in school and.... Well, I’ll leave that there.)
Not sure why. No, lol, I’m not sure. And I had a serious boyfriend (white) most of college and then dumped him toward the end for my husband (also white, lol).
With the current political racial explosion and the prominent “privilege” theme… Of any “group” of people… Black Panther has come out. Everyone is ecstatic on Facebook right now, and I just haven’t gotten around to seeing it yet, lol.
I guess there is a lot of negative press about it being “too black.” Now I’m serious when I say I don’t quite keep up with that stuff. (Mmmm but you wanna talk about Luke Cage for a second? Because I’d have some of that dark chocolate any time.)
My guess is that ignorant white people are doing the same ignorant white people shit. If I do comment on things, I am told they think of me as another sistah.
Sidenote: pretty sure white people saying that to black people is not okay with them lol!!! “Well you’re one of those okay black guys” or “It’s like you’re white anyway.” That shit happens all the time, and it isn’t right. But I actually take it as a compliment not to be grouped in with other ignorant white people. Or just.... The group labeled “white people.”
I am a Jew, though.

I do not like to categorize people . Except I tend to do “ nice” and “ idiots” Luckily I do not come across many of the latter :-)
