Sorority Formal 5/3/2003
My sorority formal was on April 12 at a place called The Chateau in the Poconos. I actually had a lot of fun. I was originally supposed to share a room with Lisa, Toni, and a girl Veronica, but Veronica decided to pull out of the room at the last minute because she brought a date. So we pulled my friend Danielle in. Then when we got up to the rom, Lisa decides to get a room at a nearby hotel because her boyfriend decided to come up to the formal at the last minute. Toni brought unexpectedly brought her boyfriend into the room without asking anyone, which kind of pissed me off. But despite the constant room-switching, everything turned out OK. Greg, Toni's boyfriend turned out to be a really cool guy...plus they didn't have sex in the room that night which totally relieved me.
My 'big sister' through the sorority, who I actually nicknamed 'Big' was supposed to come up to the hotel at four o'clock because A) I wanted to hang out with her before she disappeared with her date and B) because I was supposed to do her hair and make-up. The formal started at 7 and she first arrives at the hotel at 6:45 in her jeans and her hair thrown up in a bun...so I didn't really do her hair and did a quickie job with her make-up...She got pissed at me I think but whatever. I was totally sober during the formal which sucked because most people got drunk. There was only one bartender and the line stretched across the room.
Music was OK. I danced with some of my friends and took pictures. Nothing spectacular happened, but I had fun.
The next morning we woke up mad early to get breakfast only to discover that a fucking breakfast wasn't included in the $100 hotel. Me, Greg, and Toni went out to Friendly's for breakfast which was cool, because Toni and Greg are funny characters. I didn't get to say good bye to some of my friends and I really wanted to have breakfast with them. But whatever...I need to learn how to scan pics onto this diary because I would love to post pics and artwork...
