Weekend at SU 3/14/2003

Two weeks ago I went to Syracuse. I miss Erin, Justin, and Dionne and I needed to be away from the sorority bullshit for awhile. Eron, Dionne, and Christina, Erin's best friend from home who was also visiting that weekend picked me up from the bus station. Erin had class, so Dionne and I chilled out in her dorm and watched movies. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm glad I left Syracuse. I would've been so bored. None of them have fake ID's so we'd never be able to go out, Justin's always busy with school work, Erin is busy with her job and being an RA, and Dionne works 20 hours a week on top of taking 17 credits. I love having movie nights with them, but after two years, I would've been ready to jump out a window. I wish that my sorority could be transported to Syracuse or my Syracuse friends could be transported to Binghamton; then my life would be a perfect balance of getting ragingly drunk at bars and having very tame, silly, sober movie nights. Ah well...

So Dionne and I walked over to Flint, my old dorm, to go and hang out with Erin and Justin, who still live there. Justin gave me this massive hug when I walked into Erin's room ::sigh:: Damn his girlfriend...:oP. Actually, Justin's girlfriend is mad sweet, but I wish I couldve hooked up with him, just once...he's still as cute as ever.

So Justin, Dionne, and I went on a liquor run and took a trip to Blockbuster after snacking on some really crappy Syracuse pizza. It was so great taking midnight runs with them again...We just fell into our old routine of making fun of each other and being silly. We could only get six Skyy Blues because we were really poor, but I had brought up a half a bottle of tequila and a half bottle of CRUZAN's Coconut Rum, so we were OK.

I got pretty drunk, but since Erin was on duty, she had to stay pretty sober. Dionne had a bad experience with alcohol last year and barely drank anyhting. Justin drank like a sailor (he did five or six tequila shots with me, plus we had the Skyy Blues) but his tolerance is ridiculous. I was loud and obnoxious, but I really just didn't give a damn beacuse I had a blast. We played a bunch of rounds of Asshole--a card game for those of you who didn't know.

Christina was really obnoxioous and I wished she wasn't there. She refused to let us use Erin's cranberry juice to mix drinks even though Erin had said it was OK and she was pretty rigid about her or Erin not paying for anything, even though I supplied more than 2/3 of the alcohol...I dunno she just grated on my nerves. Other than that the night was awesome. I passed out at 1:30 on Rin's bed, just like old times.

We woke up pretty late so we had to get dressed kinda quickly. The only thing that bothered me is the lack of food. Whenever I have guests, the first thing I offer them is food and drinks. I had to ask Erin twice to just let me get a bagel from the dining hall. Granted, I had to use her meal card, but it was just a bagel...I ended up not using her meal card at all, since the guy ringing up the meals wasn't looking. But anyway...so we trekked over to Target because Erin had never been to a Target and wanted to go...I know, she's weird. Then we hung out in Carousel Mall and just hung out until it was time for me to catch my bus.

Very relaxing weekend, lemme tell ya. I'm glad I'm not at that school any more though...
