Frat Boys, Fighting, and Yummy Lemonade 2/22/2003
One of the older girls in the sorority, and my Big's best friend, ended up calling me up and inviting me out at 11:30. She was going out with the girls on her floor and wanted to know if I wanted to come. Tanya has to be one of the sweetest people I know. The cab came before I got there so she stayed behind to wait for me :o).
I LOVE the girls on Tanya's floor...One of them came down to Rush, but my freakin petty sorority ended up cutting her...Grrr....anyway, this girl, Sarah, is hilarious; she dances like no other. Anyway, so Tanya and I were hanging out at this frat party, Chi Phi, where the drinks were actually REALLY good...they not only had punch and beer but also this really yummy lemonade.
Tanya left Chi Phi to go to AXP, another frat on campus, and me and one of the girls from my pledge class, Corinne, stayed at the party with me. Apparently she accidently got left behind when everone else left for the Rat (club) before. I got to meet some of our pledges, which was nice, since I had no idea who the hell ended up getting bids. The pledges seem nice enough, but I'm not thrilled...we cut a lot of awesome girls that I got along great with for petty reasons. Anyway...we'll just have to see.
Corinne's awesome...we were just being crazy on the dance floor and drinking. I think at one point she told me that we both needed to lose weight though...I dunno the middle of a frat party really isn't the place to be telling me this. Anyway, before we left we ended up talking to some Chi Phi boys. Well, Corinne talked. She's just one of those really stunning girls with this wild, dynamic personality. One of the guys wrote her name and number on the wall. Corinne was really sweet, she also added my name. For the hell of it, I also wrote down our sorority and pledge class. I dunno, it seemed like s smart idea at the time. Oh, I did get one compliment. The guy who was hitting on Corinne at one point asked me, "Those aren't contacts right?" I said they weren't. Besides I was wearing my glasses, why would I be wearing contacts..? So he says, "Your eyes are amazing." Rock on, I have amazing eyes. Actually it's just the color; I have pale green eyes that also turn a pale brown, hazel, and bright yellow. When I was little I used to freak people out with that. As I've been getting older my eyes stopped changing color as much and basically remained yellow for most of the time. It's one of my best features.
Anyway, so we headed over to the Rat, where people were practically getting trampled just to get in. We got in, and then Corinne got kinda in a bad mood. She refused to dance to to even move so we could look for other people. One of the most snotty girls in my sorority, Andrea came over to us. She was with one of the pledges, Lauren, who had already been shot-gunned as her Litte.
*Littles in a sorority are basically pledges who get assigned older sorority sisters as their 'bigs.' This is down by writing down three older sisters that are their top choices for their Bigs. The problem is that instead of taking time out to get to know all the girls, some sisters pick out who they want for a Little even before the process starts. It's a problem for the other pledges because they feel unwanted if no-one shotguns them as a 'Little' early as well. It's also a problem for the older sisters because they now have one less person to pick out as their Little. It was a major problem in my pledge class, and I didnt' get any of my preferences because those sisters had already picked out who they wanted as littles much earlier. My Big and I ended up getting put together randomly but it worked out well because we've become best friends. I'm actually living with her next year. But anyway, so if you hear about 'Bigs' and 'Littles,' now you know what it means.
I left Corinne for a minute to go and find Big and Tanya, since people kept telling me that they were in the club. I ended up finding them, but I lost Corinne. I found out later she hooked up with a random frat boy who ended up showing her his penis in the middle of the club. ::Shrugs:: This shit never happens to me...Anyway, so me, my Big's new hook-up buddy Scott, Tanya, Tanya's friend Iman (really sweet asian guy from my fav frat Alpha Sigma Phi), and me went to the pizza parlor where the most fucked up shit of the night happened.
