This is the day last fall when Gracie’s dad Rowdy came to visit. He followed Jim’s combine home when he confused it with his own. Not the best picture - but it’s Rowdy on the left by the combine wheel and Gracie on the right. Rowdy’s mom and uncle came and got him the next day.

Look at that massive fur coat Gracie has compared to Rowdy. She must be much more comfortable in the winter than he is. That is a great photo to go along with the great story.

It's not a good pic. But I'm glad to have it. Like people family pics. It would have been nice to have Rowdy's people and Rowdy and Gracie in a pic together. The story of picking out and getting Gracie is one that I keep close.

He wouldn't let Jim get back in it. Dogs are funny people. Farm dogs have a larger stage to live their lives on.

Rowdy lives on the highway - Jim came by in the dark - didn't realize the dog was following. It's a real wonder that Rowdy got to be as old as he is. Maybe his mother is looking out for him from the doggy afterlife.
