The audition went well, I don't officially find out anything until Tuesday. If you want to know what the crew looks like that I auditioned for you can look up Crazefaze on youtube.
Note: I do not expect to get offered a position in this crew. If by some miracle I do get offered a position, I'll take it.
Whether or not I make the Hip Hop crew, last night has shown me that I need to be working about 100 times harder than I have been, which is fine and I will do it. The thing with dance is that I'll do whatever it takes to get better and be one of the best, if not the best, in the room. It gets me in trouble.
I was surprisingly in pretty good shape compared to the other people who auditioned. I kept up with her her crew during the combination, and really only stopped once...because my weight was in the wrong place and i fell out of something. Overall, I kept up which is all I was hoping for.
I realized last night that I've really only been dancing again since May 2013....I took 3 years off due to medical issues and injuries. So, IMO, my performance is pretty good for not even being back for a year yet.
Today, and all this weekend, I am spending some time in the studios at the Boston Ballet, which is the company I used to belong to. I was told by 3 different choreographers yesterday, that I don't have enough confidence in myself. Not good. So, I went back to the barre...which is where all your problems with dance get resolved.
Goals for next week: I will be stronger and come back more confident, or at least show more confidence, even if I don't buy it. Hit everything harder. Be more precise. Show all the choreographers what I can do.
