Just wrote my graduate exam in personal thoughts

Went to a town a few hours away to write the thing. My test was early in the morning, so I arrived a day before so that I wouldn’t fatigue over a commute. I booked a room somewhere close to the testing center.

The motel room looked like it came straight from the movies, perfect for crackheads and cheating spouses. Poor lighting, green walls, and a vociferous smell. The motel itself was rundown, and probably only had a receptionist and one cleaning lady working.

The receptionist upgraded me for free to another room. I wonder if she was expecting something in return. I wonder if I should have went for it. The new room looked like your typical B level holiday inn, except a tad bit rougher around the edges.

I laid in bed for 10 hours, sleeping for only 6.

I saw a girl from my home university at the testing room. I don’t know her or her friends. I don’t think she noticed that I saw her. She took a year off last year. I have a class with her this week. I think it would be weird to say to her that I saw her there.

I was stuck on the train for 3 hours. Before it began moving. My phone broke, but I surprisingly don’t care. Happy, really. I’ve been slowly cutting away technology these past few months, so I welcome this.
