It's Over 5/5/2002

I'm officially done with Syracuse. When I got home , I saw a beautiful blue and gold folder from University of Rochester. Enclosed was my acceptance letter that I'v been waiting to see for two years, along with my financial aid package. They gave my 5k out of a 33k tuition bill. I hate U of R now. They lost a good, hard-working student twice. So fuck them. And fuck Free Open Diary for prohibiting me to use curses.

In a way, I wish I wrote about my last days at SU more. I wish that stuff like that happened at the beginning of the year. It was actually a lot of fun, aside from the cramming for finals and stuff.

One of our last weekends there, me, Erin, Dionne, and Justin all decided to go out to dinner at Faegans. Faegans is this chic, awesome little bar/ restaurant that none of us had ever been to. We wanted a night off from Graham, our cafeteria, and Dionne, Erin and I all desperately wanted an excuse to get out of our PJ's and dress up. So we went, looking all chic and awesome. Justin looked absolutely gorgeous once he shaved and put on clothes he hadn't slept in. For a few irrational seconds I hated Tara, his girlfriend. Why is it that all the boys I've ever like have had girlfriends? On one hand, I'm glad Justin has never cheated on her, because it shows he's a loyal, god person, but on the other hand, I wanted him to cheat. With me. But ah well, back to the dinner...

The food was awesome and we had a really good time. Its too bad we had never gone there before. It was one of the most relaxing, memorable nights at SU I'd ever had.

Unfortunately, most of that period of time was a blur. I really should have written more...We have these things called reading days, where you have no classes for about a week, which gives you time to study for finals. I only had one reading day before I had my chemistry final from 8am-10am and my art history final from 10:15-12:15 pm. I mean, granted, I got to go home on May 2, but I had no time to study. On top of the work I was doing for classes, I had to study for finals. So my schedule was a bitch.

My bosses had the gall to tell me I should work more hours since "now that you don't have classes, you won't have as much work." I was going to just quit right then and there. I hate stupid people. More than that, I hate working for stupid people. But I screwed them over pretty good, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Moving my stuff out was a bastard and a half. I took out a half day from studying to to to the damn post office and ship my heavy ass boxes the almost broke my back. My father got my the heaviest PC he could find...anyway, so I spend half the day sweating over these boxes, and what happens? They got sent back. Yup. The post office people are officially the stupidest people alive. It clearly said "TO" and "FROM" with the addresses clearly labeled and the stupid fuck post officers got confused anyway, since the lattering was the same size on both addresses. What, they can't read? So I called my mother, who yelled at me, and we got into a screaming match. I hung up on her twice. I actually screamed so loud at her my throat was hoarse afterwards. I was sick of having things go badly for me, and my mother blaming the mix-up on me just pushed me over the edge.

I ended up shipping everything through the University. I had to drag a heavy ass bin filled with my boxes downstairs to my school store, where they would ship the boxes out. I'm not sure what SU has against ramps, but it made the trip downstairs a bitch. Do you know what its like to lift up a bin that weighs 20 pounds itself plus over a hundred pounds of boxes inside up ten stairs? Yeah...its a real bastard. Some nice guys helped me, but I felt like a jerk. I looked real lovely too, at that point, all sweaty and everything...Anyway, so I made the "from" address really tiny and the "to" address really big. Plus, I drew the "to"and the "from" in bold.

The next day I had to make a second trip downstairs, but I brought Dionne with me. Two guys had to help us getting up the stairs again, but this trip was infinitely easier. All the boxes have to do now is show up, and I'll be one happy chickie.

The last night at Syracuse was cool. We hung out in Dionne's room just laughing and being silly. I had a chem final the next day, but I refused to lock myself away and spend al night studying for it. Vincow fails people on purpose anyway, and I had missed out too many night with my friends studying for tests that were designed so I couldn't pass.

Justin kept asking us questions from his review sheet for his architecture test the next day. Erin and I were being so silly. Her answer to everything was "trees" and mine was "true". His questions were not true and false, nor did they have anything to do with trees; we were just in a giggly mood.
