College Night Life 9/21/2001
Last night was interesting. Dionne, Helen, Erin, and I tried to go to this club AGAIN. It was College Night and supposedly, if you had a college ID, you could get in. Dionne isn't turning 18 until December, so she depends on her SU ID to get into 18+ clubs. Unfortunately, the bouncer didn't let Dionne in AGAIN and we all had to go back to the dorm. It' sad, it was midnight on a Thursday in college, and I was sitting in my friend's room eating pizza. I imagined college to be a little more exciting...Dionne pisses me off. She knows she can't get into clubs and she knows that the three of us REALLY want to go. So let us go, instead of saying, "Yeah, let me come along and maybe they'll let me in this time." Its not fair that all of us have to keep going back. I'm not saying we should have gone into the club and left her standing outside, but she could've done something else last night and let us go clubbing. Its not fair.
Don't get me wrong, having pizza and drinking screwdrivers was a million times better than sitting alone in my room feeling sorry for myself, but I want to go out. I want to get drunk, I want to dance, and want to hook up with random guys. Grrr. Damn Dionne. She's nice and everything, but she definitely pisses me off.
On another note...its Friday and I'm staying in voluntarily. I have three tests next week and I can't afford to party Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I may go out tomorrow. There's a party on South campus so we'll see.
Remember Evelyn? One of the first girls I met who never seemed to want to hang out with me after we hung out for an entire afternoon? Well, we keep running into each other now. Last week, Linda and her boyfriend Seth were in our room. They had their clothes on and everything but...yeah. You get the picture. It wasn't really comfortable for me to stay in there, so I left. All I wanted to do that night was just crawl under my covers and go to sleep. Since I couldn't use the phone in my room, I used the one in the lobby. I called my mother and just started crying. Everyone could hear me and see me, no matter how low I talked which made it even worse. Anyway, Evelyn appears and asks me what was wrong. I ended the call with my mom and Evelyn gave me a big hug. She told me that she totally understood homesickness; she's been home twice already. So I guess she likes me...? I dunno. I had asked her to hang out a few times before and she always said no, so I assumed she didn't like me. Anyway, make a short story long, today I was crossing the Quad and I heard someone yell my name. I turn and see Evelyn walking towards me. We talked for a bit and decided to get some lunch together.
This morning Allison, my neighbor, asked me to go to breakfast with her. She's also a really nice girl, and I would love to hang with her, but she also is always busy. She came up here with friends from high school, so she basically sticks with them. She's nice and everything; she often knocks on my door to ask me if she looks ok in her outfit, or to come in and tell me about the outrageous party she went to the night before. But she'll never invite me to come along to these outrageous parties.
I tried hanging out with her last weekend. She was supposed to come and get me after she went to get one of her friends in another dorm. I know Allison's not exactly trustworthy, so I ended up leaving with Erin, Dionne, and Helen at midnight to go to a club. (That night was the first time we had to go back because of Dionne. Last night was the second). When we were walking through the parking lot, we ran into Allison and her friends. She apologized to me the next morning about leaving without me. Her friends were in a hurry to leave, so she figured she'd leave with them rather than call me. Luckily I didn't stay home and wait for her call...
Yeah...anyway. I have other things to worry about now.
Until later
