Yay :o) 9/18/2001
Hey today I'm actually having a good day. (Knocks on wood furiously). My math class got cancelled so my first class was at 1 pm. I went to the School of Visual and Pefor,ing Arts (VPA) to see if I could get an appointment to switch from Arts and Sciences into VPA. I'll be a semester behind all of the other art students, but I'll just stay up here for a summer or two I guess. I need arts classes...One of the reasons why I'm having so many problems is because I don't have art as a stress release.
Um, I met a cool guy at my chemistry lecture the other day. We were sitting and waiting in the law building waiting for our chemistry lecture to begin (don't ask me why they hold chem classes in the law building...) and I remembered that I had forgotten to do my pre-lab. I asked to borrow his and we started talking. He's in the pre-med program and I'm in the biology program which are fairly similar. I found out that we're in the same calculus recitation, which is cool because I could swear I've never seen him before. When Jenny and I (Jenny is the girl from LI that I met who has the same b'day and lives 20 minutes away from me) sat down, he sat in the row above us, so I figured he was done talking with me. At the end of the lecture I asked him if he was going to go to another calculus recitation or if he would just skip it for the week. He said he'd skip it, so I didn't feel so guilty for skipping it either. Totally unexpectedly, he asks for my AIM. I wrote it fown on his folder, thinking I probably wouldn't hear from him. After all, he is a guy....
Anyway, last night I got an IM from him. He had gotten my away message so his note basically said "hey this is Aaron, I met you in chem, just wanted to say hi." Nothing spectacular. This is so cool. I may have a friend guys! I'm so proud.
And get this; remember the girls, Erica, Dionne, and Helen that I had mentioned in my "Update" entry? Well, I figured I might as well leave a little note on Erica's door just to say hello. I can't be accused of stalking her or anything because it's Tuesday and we haven't seen each other since Saturday. I got back from class and Erica had left a note on my door saying that she was going to the movies and would I like to come? You have no idea how wonderful a feeling it is to be asked to come along. People take friends for granted. When you're alone for a long time you'll understand. So today has been a good day. What makes it even better is that I get to go home in nine days for a four-day vacation. And my parents are going to call me tonight. Right now, I'm in a very good mood. It takes so little to make me happy, it really does :o)
