Finally Done 9/6/2001
I was always told by my mother and my sister that I should never walk by myself in the dark. Not only was I walking by myself, I was walking around in an area that I didn't know. Linda told me to get home I just take the road straight and make a left. So I went straight and made a left. I ended up in some really bad part of Syracuse that I'd never seen before. I asked a group of girls for directions to the university, but they drunkenly giggled that they didn't go there and didn't know the directions. Now I'm cold and lost. I ended up, wonder of wonders, finding the school. I ended up going into the room, getting a jacket and writing my last three diary entries until three in the morning. I went to sleep by three-thirty and Linda still wasn't home.
The next morning Linda informed me of what happened. Jay never stayed for after hours. Either he blatantly lied to get out of walking back with me or he changed his plans last minute. Knowing Jay, I'm not sure what happened. Linda fooled around with Seth and has a date with him tonight actually. It's why I'm here now; I don't need to be there when she leaves. Also, the night she came home, her key didn't work. At five a.m. she was banging on the door but I apparently slept through it. Serves her right for making me walk home in the dark and giving me bad directions...She had to get campus security to open the door and was slightly peeved that I didn't wake up in the first place. Gotta love college right...
