7w6d in Baby Stuff, Part 3

I’m not sure if I’ll have time to write anything tomorrow.

This week I ranged from feeling great to feeling terrible. There were a few days where I didn’t even notice/feel like I was pregnant, other than the copious amount of bloating that makes me look pregnant already. I’ve been wearing maternity pants for the past couple of weeks because my other ones will not button anymore.

Some days, like today, I feel sick. But some days I don’t. My boobs are still tender, but not as much.

I’m exhausted. Constant fatigue. I wake up between 1:00am and 3:00am and can’t fall back to sleep for an hour or two. It’s aggravating. I go to bed early because I want as much sleep as possible, and I can’t even manage it.

I’ve been too tired to do housework, but luckily my partner is picking up my slack. I’m so grateful.

This Friday is my first appointment. It’s felt like a long time coming. I’m having a sonogram, so hopefully that’ll ease my mind. I keep trying to prepare myself for a missed miscarriage or a molar pregnancy, because for some reason my brain always prepares for the worst.

So far this pregnancy is dragging, but I know it’ll feel quicker when I’m full term!

My kids are always talking about how I “have a baby in [my] tummy” and my youngest always asks me why.

Yes indeed, why?
