Still Warm From You

Blanketed and warm
By your silken touch
I miss your caress,
My dear, so much.

Ensnared by the tender holdings you give
It’s with you, my dear, I want to live.

Inside and warm,
Our love will weather
The hopeless and helpless
With heartbeats together.

You’re lost for words when I’m sulky and frowning;
I know I’m no help when I leave you there drowning.

Curled up and warm,
I still watch you sleeping –
Your serenity from scorn,
Love no longer fleeting.
